Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı made statements regarding current issues. Addressing the rumors about a possible exchange involving Rafa Silva and İrfan Can Kahveci, Adalı said, "There is absolutely nothing like that, it's baseless... They can only get Rafa Silva's jersey. We have his jersey in our stores, and it's signed; anyone who wants it can buy it."
Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı made exclusive statements to Milliyet. Adalı, who made special remarks about the decision regarding Sergen Yalçın and Beşiktaş's debt, also made striking comments about transfers.
"WE DIDN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT MONEY WITH SERGEN"
In response to the question, "Was there a lot of discussion about the head coach? Do you believe you made the right decision?" Serdal Adalı said, "Yes. We did the right thing under the conditions of that day. I am in favor of a local coach, but the number of locals who can carry Beşiktaş is small. After Ole, our first choice was Sergen Yalçın. We reached an agreement in a very short time. We didn't even talk about money; our priority was the team. I mentioned the figure, and Coach Sergen accepted it. There was no problem."
'WE WILL MAKE ADDITIONS'
Touching on the transfers to be made during the mid-season, Serdal Adalı stated, "If the coach wants quality players, we will definitely acquire them. We have deficiencies. Beşiktaş's only goal is to be the champion. We will make additions during the winter transfer window. We will carry the competition to the end. I will make the necessary additions for this; our fans and community can be at ease."
'FENERBAHÇE CAN ONLY GET HIS JERSEY'
In response to the question, "Are the claims that 'İrfan Can Kahveci is coming to Beşiktaş, Rafa Silva is going to Fenerbahçe' true?" Adalı said, "There is definitely no such thing; it's baseless... They can only get Rafa Silva's jersey. The jersey is available in our stores, and it's signed; anyone who wants can buy it."
"OUR DEBT IS 120 MILLION EUROS"
Revealing Beşiktaş's debt, Serdal Adalı stated, "We have a debt of 120 million euros to the Ministry of Finance and banks. We will clear this with the real estate project. 70 million euros to the banks and 50 million euros to the Ministry of Finance..." he said.
