Hülya Avşar resolved the rental increase dispute with her tenant for her apartment in Sarıyer Büyükdere through a court decision. The rent, which was 6,000 TL in 2019, had gradually increased to 25,000 TL, but a disagreement arose between the parties when Avşar requested a higher increase. After the mediation process failed, the famous artist turned to the Istanbul Civil Court of Peace and won the case. The court ruled that the tenant would now pay a monthly rent of 45,000 TL.
Famous artist Hülya Avşar received what she wanted through a court decision in the dispute with her tenant living in her apartment in Sarıyer Büyükdere over a rent increase.
WANTED TO DOUBLE THE RENT
Avşar's tenant, B.Ş., was paying a rent of 25,000 TL for the apartment he had been living in since 2019 for a fee of 6,000 TL. When Avşar wanted to double the rent last year, a dispute arose between the parties. After mediation talks also ended without result, Avşar applied to the Istanbul Civil Court of Peace.
COURT FOUND HÜLYA AVŞAR RIGHT
The court, as a result of the evaluation, found Avşar's request justified and set the new rent amount for the tenant at 45,000 TL. Thus, Avşar won her long-standing legal battle.
