Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that in operations organized against the crimes of "Online Child Pornography and Abuse, Illegal Betting, and Qualified Fraud" centered in 59 provinces; 190 suspects were arrested, judicial control measures were applied to 111 of them, and the procedures for the others are ongoing, providing the following information:
AS A RESULT OF OPERATIONS, APPROXIMATELY 404 MILLION TL WORTH OF 7 COMPANIES, RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES, AND LAND WERE SEIZED
"It was determined that the suspects had child pornography images, defrauded our citizens using themes such as 'product sales, rental bungalows, insurance payments, job advertisements at home, social aid donations,' accessed citizens' mobile banking accounts to gain unfair profits, engaged in illegal betting and gambling, conducted POS loan sharking, facilitated illegal money transfers, and advertised these activities. As a result of the efforts carried out by our Cyber Crime Department of the General Directorate of Security (EGM) and MASAK in coordination with the Cyber Crime Branch Directorates of Provincial Police Departments; investigations were initiated by our prosecutors against the suspects apprehended in operations conducted in Adana, Adıyaman, Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Batman, Bursa, Çanakkale, Çankırı, Çorum, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Hatay, Hakkari, Isparta, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş, Karaman, Kars, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kırklareli, Kırşehir, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Muğla, Muş, Nevşehir, Ordu, Osmaniye, Rize, Samsun, Sakarya, Siirt, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Tekirdağ, Trabzon, Uşak, Van, Yozgat, and Zonguldak. As a result of the operations; approximately 404 million TL worth of 7 companies, 3 residential properties, and 5 plots of land were seized."
