THE MONTHLY INCREASE IN CPI FOOD AND NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WAS 3.41%
The monthly changes in the three main expenditure groups with the highest weight; an increase of 3.41% in food and non-alcoholic beverages, an increase of 1.07% in transportation, and an increase of 2.66% in housing. The effects of the relevant main groups on the monthly change were 0.83% in food and non-alcoholic beverages, 0.16% in transportation, and 0.45% in housing.
AN INCREASE OCCURRED IN THE INDEX OF 118 MAIN HEADINGS
As of October 2025, among the 143 main headings covered in the index (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose - COICOP 5-digit Level), while there was a decrease in the index of 18 main headings, there was no change in the index of 7 main headings. An increase occurred in the index of 118 main headings.
Excluding unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold, the change in CPI in October 2025 was an increase of 2.43% compared to the previous month, an increase of 29.00% compared to the previous year's December, an increase of 32.52% compared to the same month of the previous year, and an increase of 36.72% according to twelve-month averages.
