In the Artuklu district of Mardin, 6 people were injured in a fight with sticks that broke out between 2 families. Gendarmerie teams intervened by firing into the air to separate the parties.
The incident occurred in the rural Ortaköy neighborhood of the Artuklu district during the afternoon hours.
GENDARMERIE FIRED INTO THE AIR
The argument, which broke out for unknown reasons, turned into a fight with sticks. The injured individuals are Ramazan A. (58), Behice A. (50), Kenan A. (44), İshak Ç. (28), Nurcan Ç. (23), and Remziye Ç. (40). Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. The gendarmerie teams fired warning shots into the air to separate the parties.
INJURED PERSONS WERE TRANSPORTED TO MARDIN STATE HOSPITAL
The injured were taken to Mardin Training and Research Hospital and Kızıltepe State Hospital by ambulances. It was reported that the injured individuals are not in life-threatening condition.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident, while the moment of the fight was captured by the mobile phone cameras of bystanders. The footage showed the parties ruthlessly attacking each other with sticks.
