As the inheritance dispute in Menzil escalated, this time guns spoke in Istanbul. A disagreement among community members in Sancaktepe turned into an armed fight, resulting in four people being shot.
The community, whose center is the village of Menzil in the Kahta district of Adıyaman, experienced a heritage dispute among the sons of its leader, Sheikh Abdulbaki Erol, who is referred to as "Gavs," after his death on July 12, 2023. The sons involved are Muhammed Saki, Muhammed Fettah, and Muhammed Mubarek.
The inheritance dispute in Menzil, which has companies, foundations, and associations, is branching out like a holding. A discussion occurred between the followers close to Seyit Fettah and those close to Seyit Saki.
CONFLICT ERUPTED AMONG THEM
According to the news by BirGün reporter İsmail Arı; a fight broke out when a group close to Seyit Fettah, who claimed to have the title deed of the lodge, asked the group close to Seyit Saki to leave the lodge.
TWO PEOPLE SHOT FROM THE CROWD
After the fight, a person who came back with a weapon shot two people from the crowd. When the crowd intervened, two more people were shot in the ensuing chaos.
INCIDENTS ENDED WHEN POLICE INTERVENED
After those who intervened neutralized the attacker, the security forces intervened in the incident. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
