Serdal Güçtekin, who has been working as administrative staff at Ezine Vocational School for about 15 years, allegedly registered himself as a student and committed irregularities in the University Information Management System (UIMS). Following the detection of the situation during the inspections by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority, an administrative investigation was initiated by the ÇOMÜ Rectorate. Güçtekin was suspended from his duties as part of the ongoing investigation.
ARRESTED FOR 'FORGERY IN DOCUMENTS'
On the other hand, inspectors from the Information Technologies and Communications Authority initiated an examination of all past transactions in the UIMS. Additionally, the university administration filed a criminal complaint with the Çanakkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Following the criminal complaint, Serdal Güçtekin was detained by police teams yesterday morning. In the evening hours yesterday, after his statement at the police station, Serdal Güçtekin was brought before the court he was referred to, where he was arrested for the crime of 'forgery in documents.'
