The Revenue Administration (GİB) has set the final application deadline for the Paid Transportation Incentive System (UTTS) as April 30. It has warned that applications must be completed by the specified date.
The Revenue Administration has issued a warning regarding the National Vehicle Recognition System. It was reminded that the registration processes related to devices and communication modules must be transferred by April 30. The "General Communiqué on the Implementation of the National Vehicle Recognition System," published in the Official Gazette dated October 5, 2023, established the procedures and principles for the establishment of the National Vehicle Recognition System (UTTS) to ensure equal competition in the fuel market and to effectively combat the informal economy.
OBLIGATION OF TTB FOR VEHICLES USING TTS
Within the scope of UTTS, fuel stations are required to install a Vehicle Recognition Unit (TTB) on fuel pump nozzles (TİM) and Vehicle Recognition Reader Devices (TTO) for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in the business and used in the workplace, as well as for vehicles that are not of this nature but use the Vehicle Recognition System. According to the communiqué, taxpayers operating fuel stations were required to ensure that at least one pump unit had TTOs installed on the nozzle apparatus by January 31. For devices to be used in pump units supplying a fuel type other than gasoline or diesel, there is a deadline until the end of the year (December 31).
DEADLINE FOR STORAGE EXPIRES ON DECEMBER 31
As part of the regulation, vehicle owners were also required to have TTB installed on vehicles acquired through leasing or included in the business and used in the workplace by January 31. For vehicles operating with multiple fuel types or fuel types other than gasoline or diesel, the deadline for storage related to the fuel type other than gasoline or diesel will expire on December 31. For vehicles that are not covered by the relevant article and use the vehicle recognition system, TTB installation is required starting from July 1.
DEADLINE FOR EQUIPMENT IS APRIL 30
It is important for taxpayers operating fuel stations and vehicle owners to have the specified equipment installed or assembled by April 30 at the latest, provided that they carry out the necessary application and registration processes for devices, communication modules, and other equipment through the website. In fuel sales made under UTTS, information related to the vehicle's license plate will be automatically transmitted to the new generation pump payment recording device. The statement included the following remarks: To avoid potential loss of rights, it is of great importance for taxpayers operating fuel stations and vehicle owners who are required to have TTB installed under UTTS to act in accordance with the regulations and deadlines specified in the relevant sections of the aforementioned general communiqué and to fulfill their obligations completely and on time.
