YouTube billionaire MrBeast stated that although his company has reached a valuation of 5 billion dollars, he has no cash in his personal account and is currently living in debt because he has directed his investments into his business. MrBeast said, "Technically, I have no money right now. In fact, I'm borrowing money. They say, 'You're a billionaire,' but that's just the value of my total wealth."
MrBeast, known as the world's largest YouTuber and whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, announced that his company reached a valuation of 5 billion dollars in its latest investment round, but his personal cash situation is not as it seems.
"I AM CURRENTLY LIVING ON DEBT"
MrBeast said, "I am really living on debt right now. No one believes me. They say, 'You are a billionaire,' but that is just the value of my total wealth."
"TECHNICALLY, I HAVE NO MONEY"
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal at the beginning of January, Donaldson stated, "I technically have no money right now. I am even borrowing money." He mentioned that he constantly directs his investments back into his business and that he has almost no cash in his personal bank account.
HE SAID HE BORROWED FROM HIS MOTHER FOR HIS WEDDING
Last summer, MrBeast made a similar statement, saying he borrowed from his mother for his wedding and that he allocates a large portion of his earnings back into investments. Donaldson expressed that he does not focus much on his personal financial situation due to his busy work schedule.
Although he portrays a profile that distributes millions of dollars in his videos, MrBeast's company, Beast Industries, is still operating as a startup. It was noted that the company incurred over 100 million dollars in losses in its media division in 2024, which is why expenses have been restricted recently. Donaldson also revealed that they incurred millions of dollars in losses during the first season of the "Beast Games" program filmed for Amazon Prime Video.
