INVESTIGATION INTO THOSE WHO THREATENED THE GRIEVING FATHER

Gürlek stated in a statement made from his account on NSosyal that the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has immediately launched a judicial investigation into the threat allegations made by Nizamettin Kabaiş, the father of Rojin Kabaiş, which have come to public attention.

Emphasizing that no act threatening the safety of citizens will be tolerated, Gürlek expressed that the allegations in question will be examined in all aspects and with great care.

"NECESSARY STEPS WILL BE TAKEN"

Minister Gürlek noted: "The investigation process will be carried out with sensitivity by independent judicial authorities within the framework defined by law. No one will be allowed to remain under threat and pressure, and all necessary steps will be taken within the principles of the rule of law. This is respectfully announced to the public."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Rojin Kabaiş, a first-year student in the Department of Child Development at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ), went missing after leaving the dormitory on September 27, 2024. Kabaiş's lifeless body was found on October 15 on the shore of Mollakasım Neighborhood by Lake Van.
