In a statement, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, spoke about electricity and natural gas prices. Minister Bayraktar stated, "We will evaluate in April, taking inflation into account."
The war between the US-Israel and Iran has had an impact on energy prices. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar evaluated the reflections of the war. Minister Bayraktar pointed to April for the expected increase in electricity and natural gas prices.
"THERE IS NO SHORTAGE IN NATURAL GAS AND OIL"
Minister Bayraktar said, "Especially, we are importing crude oil from Iraq and Saudi Arabia. It accounts for about 10% of the total supply. In terms of supply security, this region does not pose a problem. There is also the aspect of natural gas. It is a place where Qatari LNG meets the world. Again, we have no dependency on Hormuz. We do not have significant LNG purchases from Qatar. Therefore, we have not caused any issues for our country in natural gas and crude oil, and we will not."
