In an airstrike carried out by the Israeli army on a building where civilians were living in Gaza, 7 people lost their lives. Israeli media claimed that among the deceased was Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. No statement has been made by Hamas regarding the matter.

Hamas stated that the airstrike carried out by the Israeli army on a building in the Er-Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza is a continuation of genocide warfare and an escalation to force civilians to evacuate the city.

AIR STRIKE ON APARTMENT IN GAZA BY ISRAEL

Hamas issued a written statement regarding the airstrike by Israel in which seven Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in a building in the Er-Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza. The statement described Israel's targeting of the building as "a full-scale war crime clearly declared in front of the eyes of the whole world."

It was noted that targeting a residential building in the Er-Rimal neighborhood led to the deaths and injuries of dozens of people, which is part of the occupation's plans to destroy the city of Gaza and forcibly displace its residents.

The statement also included, "The criminal raid carried out by the occupation army on a residential building in the densely populated Er-Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City is a continuation of the war of annihilation and represents a period in which the actions of targeting to terrorize innocent civilians and force the city to evacuate have ruthlessly escalated."

ISRAELI ARMY: WE TARGETED A KEY FIGURE FROM HAMAS

Hamas called on the international community, Arab and Islamic countries, and the United Nations to "immediately intervene to stop the attack on Gaza, take deterrent measures against the occupation, and hold its leaders accountable for their crimes." On the other hand, the Israeli army claimed that it targeted "a key figure from Hamas" in its attack on the city of Gaza in the north, but did not disclose who the attack was directed against.

"AMONG THE DEAD IS ABU UBEYDE"

Despite images from the region showing dead and injured individuals, the Israeli army claimed that it "took measures to prevent civilian casualties." Israeli media, citing military sources, suggested that Abu Ubeyde, the spokesperson for Hamas's armed wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, was "targeted" in the attack on the city of Gaza. It was reported that the Israeli army used "high-precision bombs" in this attack.

58 CASUALTIES IN GAZA IN ONE DAY

Since the early hours of the morning, the Israeli army has killed 58 Palestinians in separate attacks across the Gaza Strip. Additionally, as part of its plan to reoccupy the city of Gaza, it conducted intense bombing operations in many neighborhoods, especially in Zeytun and Sheikh Ridwan. Medical sources and eyewitnesses speaking to AA reported that the attacks targeted apartments, civilians, and people waiting for aid in various areas of the Strip.

With the support of the United States, Israel has been continuing its genocidal practices such as massacre, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement in Gaza since October 7, 2023, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the operation.

As a result of the genocide, 63,371 Palestinians have lost their lives, and 159,835 people, mostly children and women, have been injured. More than 9,000 people are missing, hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and a famine has led to the deaths of 332 people, including 124 children.
