Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been displaced from the region due to the attacks carried out in the Gaza Strip. Katz also claimed that Gaza has been included in the security zones.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that they have displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip with their attacks.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, Israeli Defense Minister Katz threatened to expand their occupation of the Gaza Strip with violent attacks.

CONFESSIONAL STATEMENT

Katz announced that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been exiled and that the settlements where Gazans have been forcibly relocated have been included in their occupation as "security zones."

Emphasizing that the intensity and frequency of the Israeli army's attacks in Gaza have increased, Katz stated, "Gaza will become even smaller and more isolated."

"IT HAS BECOME OUR SECURITY ZONE"

Referring to the occupation they are conducting in southern Gaza, Katz claimed that the area between the 12-kilometer "Morag Corridor" and the "Philadelphi Corridor," which cuts through Khan Younis and Rafah, has become part of Israel's "security zone."

Katz highlighted that similar attacks have increased in northern Gaza, which is under attack, and that the occupation has expanded, asserting that the comprehensive military operation conducted by the Israeli army aims to exert pressure on Hamas to release the captives.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Israeli army had resumed its violent attacks on the morning of March 18, following the ceasefire that came into effect on January 19 in the Gaza Strip.

Since the resumption of the Israeli army's attacks, 1,574 Palestinians, mostly elderly, women, and children, have lost their lives, and 4,115 people have been injured.

Since October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 50,944, while the number of injured has reached 116,156.

Israel, which broke the ceasefire, announced that it would act against Hamas with "increasing military force" on the grounds that it rejected new ceasefire proposals.
