It was noted that Buldan mentioned the expectation for the process regarding the organization's disarmament and dissolution to succeed by the end of June. It was emphasized that Buldan did not use the expression "Öcalan will be released in June."
The Disinformation Combat Center announced that the claims made by DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan, stating "Öcalan will be released by the end of June," do not reflect the truth and that such a statement was not made. The statement also included, "It is not possible for the Republic of Turkey to negotiate regarding the call for the terrorist organization PKK to disband and for all groups to lay down their arms."
The Communication Presidency's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) reported that the claim "Pervin Buldan announced: Öcalan will be released by the end of June" is not true, as stated in some media outlets.
An explanation regarding the mentioned disinformation was made on DMM's official social media account on X.
"PERVIN BULDAN HAS NOT USED A STATEMENT LIKE 'ÖCALAN WILL BE RELEASED IN JUNE'"
In the statement made by DMM regarding the issue, it was noted, "DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan stated in a program she attended that the process for the organization to lay down its arms and disband is expected to succeed by the end of June. Buldan did not use a statement like 'Öcalan will be released in June' in the mentioned program."
"THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY OF ANY NEGOTIATION"
The statement continued with the following expressions:
"It is not possible for the Republic of Turkey to negotiate regarding the call for the terrorist organization PKK to disband and for all groups to lay down their arms. Please do not give credence to baseless claims aimed at manipulating the public."
