Israeli expert Aaron Godiner stated that the cluster bomb-laden missiles launched from Iran have caused serious damage in Israel, resulting in damage to buildings and starting fires.
As Iran's retaliatory attacks against Israel continue, an Israeli expert stated that Iran's missiles carrying cluster bombs have caused serious damage in Israel.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported on the assessment of former Fire and Rescue Authority commander Aaron Godiner regarding the missiles loaded with cluster bombs launched from Iran to Israel.
"IRAN'S CLUSTER BOMBS CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE"
Godiner expressed that the missiles carrying cluster bombs separate at high altitudes and fall over an area several kilometers wide.
Noting that the explosions of cluster bombs, each weighing three to five kilograms, have caused serious damage to buildings and cars, ignited fires, and created craters on the roads, Godiner stated that the bomb could cause single-story structures to collapse; in multi-story buildings, the damage would vary depending on where and at what angle the bomb fell.
SHRAPNEL PIECES CAUSING TERROR
Godiner reported that the bombs also scatter shrapnel pieces. The Israeli expert mentioned that one of the reasons for urging military units not to approach when they notice shrapnel or munitions pieces and to call the police is these bombs.
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
Iran responded with attacks on designated targets in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the US-Israel attacks has exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured has surpassed 17,000.
