The incident occurred yesterday around 14:20 on Altıparmak Street, one of the busiest streets in Bursa. A person coming from behind shot 25-year-old Hüseyin Uzun, who was walking towards the Millet Garden with his friend Mertcan B. The single bullet, which entered through Uzun's neck and exited from his ear at close range, fell inside a shop on the street.

Mertcan B., who narrowly escaped being shot, ran for his life. Those around him, seeing the young man covered in blood, immediately informed the 112 emergency services. Upon the notification, a large number of health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial intervention by the health teams, Hüseyin Uzun, who was severely injured, was taken to Çekirge State Hospital, but despite all efforts, he could not be saved.

The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch, who started working to catch the suspect who fled the scene on a motorcycle, identified the assailant from the security cameras in the vicinity. The assailant, identified as M.Ç, was captured within 2 hours due to the meticulous work of the police.

"I WAS GOING TO SHOOT MERTCAN"

The suspect, whose procedures at the police station are ongoing, stated in his testimony, "We had a past debt issue between us. I started following them. When I caught them on the street, I fired. I was going to shoot Mertcan, I shot the wrong person," it was learned.
