"HE STARTED HITTING ME ON THE HEAD"

Describing the day of the incident, Sevim E. said, "It was the first day of Ramadan, it was in the afternoon, I was preparing for iftar. The door rang, and I opened it. It was my younger brother, as soon as I opened the door, he started to attack me, saying, 'Why are you doing this?' I wanted to close the door but couldn't. He started hitting me on the head, I don't remember how many times he hit me. He had a gun on his waist, I was scared and couldn't say anything, I couldn't scream.

I was just very scared because he could have killed me with his gun. I tried to cover my face with my hands, but he held both of my hands and started spitting on my face. I had a plate in my leg, I fell to the ground, and he continued to hit me while I was on the ground. He shouted, 'You will withdraw your case? Otherwise, I will kill you, I will kill your children,' he said. Then he slammed the door and left. I fell to the ground. I might have stayed on the ground for 15 minutes. Then I called my son. I called my sister, they came and took me to the hospital. They filmed everything, then we filed a complaint," she said.

"WE ONLY WANT WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY OURS"

Sevim E. said, "We only want what is rightfully ours. But they threaten us, saying, 'We worked and earned it, we did it, you will give up, if you don't give up, we will kill you.' My husband passed away, my children are not here, I live alone. They deprived us of our inheritance. I applied to the court for my children to receive a share of the inheritance. They were upset when I applied. Our psychology deteriorated after the incident, I became unable to live alone. After the incident, I stayed at my sister's house for 3-4 days. Then I returned home, my sister-in-law stays with me. I can no longer be alone, I tremble with fear every time the door rings," she said.
