One of the suspects detained in the money laundering investigation drew attention. It has been revealed that a tax inspector, authorized by MASAK and assigned to prepare a report on the suspects, is among those detained. It has been determined that the inspector, who was found to have received bribes, had secret meetings with social media influencer Neslihan Güngen, who was also detained along with her husband İnanç Güngen in the same investigation.
The number of suspects caught in the "Kuyu-8" operations, which were carried out in 25 provinces across Istanbul as part of the money laundering investigation, and included suspects known as "Neslim Güngen" on social media platforms, including Neslihan Güngen and İnanç Güngen, has increased to 61. It has been learned that a tax inspector assigned to prepare a report on the suspects, authorized by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), was also detained on charges of accepting bribes. It was determined that the inspector had secret meetings with social media influencer Neslihan Güngen, who was also detained in the same investigation.
SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER NESLIHAN GÜNGEN DETAINED WITH HER HUSBAND The Istanbul Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, which took action within the scope of the investigation into money laundering initiated by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out simultaneous operations in 25 provinces across Istanbul, and 54 suspects, including Neslihan Güngen and İnanç Güngen, who are known as "Neslim Güngen" on social media platforms and had arrest warrants issued against them, were detained yesterday.
İnanç Güngen-Neslihan Güngen THE NUMBER OF DETENTIONS INCREASED TO 61 According to the prosecutor's investigation, 7 more fugitive suspects were captured and detained in the ongoing "Kuyu-8" operations targeting "establishing an organization with the aim of committing a crime", "money laundering of assets derived from crime", "forgery of official documents", and "qualified fraud". The number of captured suspects has increased to 61.
TAX INSPECTOR ASSIGNED BY MASAK IS ALSO DETAINED It was learned that one of the detained suspects was a tax inspector assigned by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) to prepare a tax technical report. It was determined through tape recordings that the tax inspector, who was caught during a vacation at a hotel in Balıkesir, wanted to have secret meetings with suspect Neslihan Güngen regarding the report to be prepared about the suspects, which would be off the record and not included in the minutes. The said tax inspector was detained on charges of "bribery" and all of his assets were temporarily seized.
GÜNGEN COUPLE'S LUXURY CARS DISPLAYED As part of the investigation in which social media influencer Neslihan Güngen, who is known for her beauty centers, and her husband İnanç Güngen were also detained, some luxury cars seized were displayed at the Istanbul Police Headquarters today. In addition to luxury cars, the exhibition included various devices such as epilation, skincare machines, regional slimming and tightening devices, and steam machines, as well as unregistered drugs and care products used in beauty centers.
