The 15-year-old Rafet D., whose lifeless body was found by the roadside with a gunshot wound to the head in Adana, was allegedly killed by his father following an argument between them, while his mother is claimed to have remained silent despite knowing everything. It was later suggested that the parents removed the child's clothes and placed him by the roadside to make it look like someone else had killed him. The father, mother, and sister who were taken into custody have been referred to the courthouse.

The lifeless body of 15-year-old Rafet D, found shot in the head by the roadside in Adana, has led to chilling allegations regarding his death.

BODY FOUND BY THE ROADSIDE

According to reports, in the Kızıldere road of Geçitli Cumhuriyet Neighborhood in the Yüreğir district, citizens noticed someone lying motionless by the roadside and reported the situation to emergency services. The medical teams that arrived at the scene determined that the individual had passed away. The lifeless body, identified as belonging to Rafet D, was handed over to his family after an autopsy. While Rafet D's funeral was being held, gendarmerie teams initiated efforts to capture any suspects.

ALLEGATION: "FATHER KILLED, MOTHER STAYED SILENT"

It was alleged that Rafet D had been in constant arguments with his family due to his drug addiction, and on the day of the incident, he had another argument with his parents. It was claimed that after the argument escalated, the father first assaulted the child and then shot him with a gun. It was further alleged that father Mehmet D and mother Sevinç D removed the child's clothes, placed them in a car, and threw him by the roadside to make it look like someone else had killed him. Teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command began a thorough investigation into the incident. As a result of the investigations, it was determined that father Mehmet D committed the murder while mother Sevinç D concealed the incident.

FAMILY IN CUSTODY

Following this, the gendarmerie detained the mother and father during an operation at the family's home in the evening hours. A firearm used in the incident was seized during the search of the house. Blood from the child was also found in the car.

After the mother and father killed the child and threw him by the roadside, they attended the funeral held on January 1 in Suluca Neighborhood. It was learned that the father also participated in washing the child before he was buried, as if nothing had happened.
