The Japanese government plans to accept a total of 1,231,900 qualified foreign workers into the country by March 2029. The plan, which will be implemented in two phases, will initially allow for the entry of a total of 805,700 skilled workers in 19 different fields. Subsequently, a total of 426,200 people will be accepted in 17 different sectors, primarily in construction, industrial production, and the food industry.

The Japanese government has prepared a new plan to address the shortage of skilled labor. According to state television NHK, the government has presented a draft plan that envisions the acceptance of a total of 1,231,900 skilled workers into the country by March 2029.

THE PLAN WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN 2 PHASES

According to the draft, the plan will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, a total of 805,700 skilled workers are expected to be accepted into Japan in 19 different fields. This workforce is primarily aimed to be employed in areas such as food production, industrial manufacturing, and maintenance services.

THEY WILL UNDERGO TRAINING FOR 3 YEARS

In the second phase, a total of 426,200 individuals are planned to be accepted in 17 different fields, primarily in construction, industrial production, and the food sector. It is stated that the workers in this group will undergo training in Japan for three years to reach the level of qualified personnel.

TO BE SUBMITTED FOR CABINET APPROVAL

It has been noted that the government, aiming to meet the labor needs in Japan and increase productivity, is expected to submit the plan for Cabinet approval in January.
