BOTH DRIVERS FOUND AT FAULTIn the report prepared regarding the accident in which 16-year-old Batın Barlas Çeki lost his life, both drivers were found to be 50% at fault. Çeki's family and lawyers came to Beykoz Courthouse and objected to Kınık's release. Speaking after leaving the courthouse, family lawyer Uysal Uğurlu said, "Unfortunately, we learned that the person who caused the death of the young child as a result of a sad traffic accident was released to be tried without arrest. We will follow this legal process until the end. We learned that the suspect was released. It is a situation that wounds consciences as a lawyer. There is causing death. Everyone who is primarily at fault must be arrested, sent to arrest, and finally arrested. However, the legal process has been mismanaged. But what is the reason, who are the responsible ones, we will follow this closely. We submitted objection petitions to the prosecutor's office and requested his arrest. The next process is in the hands of the prosecutor's office," he said. GRANDFATHER RIZA DOĞAN: I WANT JUSTICERıza Doğan, the grandfather of Batın Barlas Çeki, said, "Something is being covered up, but let's not forget that there are images in the eyes of Allah. We cannot hide anything. This is our test. In the next process, both ours and theirs, the test begins. We are all devastated. Words are insufficient," he said. Grandmother Havva Doğan said, "There are no words. The pain is immense. My daughter had one child, she had no other children. The road belonged to my grandson, not to him. We are waiting for justice," she said.
