Kılıçdaroğlu's 6-Point Syria Manifesto to the Government

Former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a six-point statement titled "Don't Button the Wrong Way" regarding the government's Syria policy. The message included points such as "The Syrian Republic should be rebuilt as a democratic, secular, and social rule of law" and "The cultural riches created by multiple structures should be preserved and respected."

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a 6-point manifesto titled "Don't Button It Wrong" regarding the government's Syria policy. Kılıçdaroğlu, who listed the steps the government should take, stated, "In the reconstruction of Syria, we must take into account all ethnic and religious structures in the country, engage with them, and support a new administration where everyone feels safe."

KILIÇDAROĞLU: DON'T BUTTON IT WRONG

The 61-year Ba'ath regime in Syria ended with the uprising initiated by HTS. With the end of the Assad era, a new policy was adopted between Turkey and Syria. Regarding the situation between Syria and Turkey, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu issued warnings. Kılıçdaroğlu, who sent a message to the government saying 'Don't button it wrong' regarding Syria, stated, "In the reconstruction of Syria, we must take into account all ethnic and religious structures in the country, engage with them, and support a new administration where everyone feels safe."

6-POINT SYRIA MANIFESTO

Towards the end of his post on X account, Kılıçdaroğlu published a 6-point manifesto. Kılıçdaroğlu listed the following by saying 'in this context':

1. The territorial integrity of Syria must be preserved, and all countries, especially Israel, must comply with the requirements of international law.

2. The Syrian Republic should be rebuilt as a democratic, secular, and social rule of law state.

3. All identities and beliefs should be under the guarantee of the new Syrian Republic State, and equality should be applied in all areas of life for citizens.

4. The state must treat all identities and beliefs equally and must never allow a privileged understanding in practice.

5. The cultural riches created by multiple structures should be preserved, and respect should be shown for this richness.

6. In this context, Turkey must fulfill its responsibilities and contribute to the construction of a secular and democratic Syria for the future of our country and the regional geography.
