While the Russia-Ukraine peace talks continue, a statement from the White House indicated that U.S. President Donald Trump is open to meeting with Putin and Zelensky in Turkey. However, a statement from the Kremlin today closed the door on Trump and Zelensky, stating, "A meeting between Putin, Trump, and Zelensky is not likely in the near future."

After the talks held in Istanbul between Russia and Ukraine, a statement regarding the issue came from the Kremlin. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitriy Peskov stated that it is wrong to expect rapid progress in the Ukraine talks and that reaching a compromise to end the war with Ukraine is extremely complex.

"RUSSIA WILL STICK TO THE AGREEMENTS"

Noting that there is no planned meeting with President Erdoğan yet, Peskov was also asked about a possible meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Peskov stated that this is unlikely to happen in the near future. The Kremlin Spokesman added that contacts with the U.S. regarding Ukraine will continue.

The Kremlin's statement indicated that there is no agreement yet on specific future meetings between Trump and Putin, and that while Putin is ready for various high-level meetings, these need to be well-prepared in advance. Peskov noted that Russia will adhere to the agreements reached in the talks with Ukraine in Istanbul.

"PUTIN WAS INFORMED IN REAL TIME"

Kremlin Spokesman Peskov also commented on Ukraine's bombers in Russia. In response to a question on the matter, Peskov stated that Russian President Putin is being informed in real time about developments and that an investigation has been initiated regarding the issue.

When asked whether they are ready to make any concessions regarding Ukraine, the Kremlin Spokesman refused to make public comments and stated that this is a matter to be discussed behind closed doors.

TRUMP AND ZELENSKY HAD GIVEN THE GREEN LIGHT TO MEET

The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump is "open" to meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey. Meanwhile, Zelensky also stated that he is ready to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
