In the illegal betting operation organized by the Batman Provincial Gendarmerie Command, 8 people were arrested. Computers and mobile phones used in illegal betting activities were seized during the operation.
Eight people were arrested in an operation carried out by the Batman Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams as part of their efforts to combat illegal gambling.
As a result of meticulous intelligence and technical work conducted by the Batman Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, an operation was carried out at a residence identified as managing an illegal gambling panel, where individuals named A.K., F.D., B.T., S.D., İ.T., E.K., V.E., F.T., A.E., Y.K., and A.K. were taken into custody.
MAJOR BLOW TO ILLEGAL GAMBLING
During the searches conducted at the residence, 2 desktop computers, 16 mobile phones, 16 SIM cards, and 16 bank and credit cards belonging to different banks, which were determined to be used in illegal gambling activities, were seized and placed under protection.
Examinations conducted on the seized computers revealed that the total amount deposited by players through the illegal gambling payment panel was 1 billion 227 million 434 thousand 848 lira and 70 kuruş. This figure highlighted the scale and severity of the operation.
8 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Of the suspects referred to the judicial authorities, 8 were arrested and delivered to the Beşiri Type T Closed Penal Institution, while 2 suspects were released under judicial control.
The Batman Provincial Gendarmerie Command emphasized that the fight against crimes targeting social order and youth, especially illegal gambling, will continue resolutely.
