In an operation conducted in 10 provinces centered in Istanbul, 13 individuals identified as being connected to 10 tons and 250 kilograms of drugs seized at different times were detained. A large number of real estate and vehicles, as well as shares in 42 companies, were confiscated during the operation.
In the operations carried out by the Istanbul Police Department of Narcotic Crimes in coordination with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and in cooperation with MASAK, mutual information and document sharing were conducted within the framework of judicial assistance processes carried out with countries that are members of Europol. Individuals identified as being connected to criminal organizations were detected.
13 PEOPLE DETAINED
In the investigations, it was determined that the individuals in question were responsible for a total of 10 tons and 250 kilograms of narcotic substances seized in Turkey. Following the completion of the operations, simultaneous operations were conducted this morning at identified addresses in Hakkari, Ankara, Bursa, Izmir, Hatay, Mersin, Van, Diyarbakır, and Mardin, centered in Istanbul. 13 individuals were captured and detained during the operations.
REAL ESTATE, VEHICLES, AND COMPANY SHARES SEIZED
During the searches conducted at the addresses, 135 real estate properties, 47 motor vehicles, 1 commercial vehicle license plate, and 42 company partnership shares were seized. The detained suspects were taken to the police for processing.
