Marcao, who wore the Galatasaray jersey for many years before transferring to Sevilla, spoke about his former teammate Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who has transferred to Fenerbahçe, saying, "I wish him the best. He helped me a lot while I was there. He did something I wouldn't do, but I hope he enjoys the football he plays. He was one of the people I valued at Galatasaray."
After playing for Galatasaray for three and a half seasons, Marcao Teixiera, who transferred to Spain's Sevilla team for 12+3 million Euros, made statements to the Sportcell YouTube channel.

Describing his process at Sevilla, Marcao said, "When I first came here, I went through tough times. There was an unexpected injury, but these are things that happen in football. I am happy right now, my family is happy, everything is going great."

Responding to the question, "Do you follow Galatasaray, do you miss it?" the Brazilian footballer said, "Yes, I spent 3-4 years full of emotions at Galatasaray. It was like an evolution for me. When I arrived, our Emperor Fatih Terim helped me a lot. He made me a great player. Of course, I follow the matches since I left. From what I see, things are going well there, and I am happy about that. I hope 'Gala' becomes champion again this year."
