The President of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, stated that they are following the ongoing clashes between the Syrian army forces and the YPG/SDF terrorist organization "with great concern." KDP President Masoud Barzani also said, "This situation should not be taken to a point that harms our brothers in Syria. This is absolutely unacceptable."

"WE ARE FOLLOWING WITH GREAT CONCERN" In a statement made on the US-based X social media platform, Barzani stated that they are monitoring the situation in Syria "with great concern," emphasizing that "the continuation of war and conflicts poses a serious threat to the stability and peace of Syria and the region as a whole."
Nechirvan Barzani "WAR AND MILITARY CONFLICTS WILL NOT SOLVE ANY PROBLEMS" Since the beginning of the conflicts, Barzani noted that they have been in communication with regional and international parties to reach a consensus on the peaceful resolution of issues and to follow the path of negotiation, stating, "We reiterate that war and military conflicts will not solve any problems and will complicate the situation further."
"WE ARE READY TO PROVIDE ALL KINDS OF SUPPORT FOR A CEASEFIRE" Barzani called on the International Coalition forces to fulfill their duty to ensure stability, stating: "We once again emphasize that we are ready to provide all kinds of support for the cessation of war, a ceasefire, and reaching an agreement. We reiterate that the rights of the Kurds and all components of Syria must be protected and guaranteed in the future constitution of Syria."
Mesud Barzani MESUD BARZANI: PARTIES NEED TO ACT RESPONSIBLY AND AWAY FROM HYPERBOLE On the other hand, Mesud Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), stated in a statement published on his party's website that they are following the developments in Syria with concern and attention. Barzani noted that "all parties need to act responsibly and away from hyperbole" during this sensitive process, adding, "This situation should not be taken to a point that would harm our brothers in Rojava (northern and northeastern Syria). This is absolutely unacceptable." Barzani conveyed that they are making every effort to ensure that the people in the region do not suffer harm, claiming, "In the new situation, we are faced with the danger of the resurgence of ISIS and terrorism."
