In a traffic accident that occurred near the village of Dikiliaş, a collision between a truck with Iranian plates and a light commercial vehicle resulted in 4 out of 6 people in the light commercial vehicle losing their lives at the scene, while 2 people, including 1 child, were injured.
A LARGE NUMBER OF TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Following the accident, a large number of 112 Emergency Service, AFAD, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of nearby citizens. The injured were taken to Hakkari State Hospital by ambulances after their initial interventions.
THE ROAD WAS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
Due to the accident, the Hakkari-Van highway remained closed to traffic for a long time, causing a traffic jam that extended for kilometers. After the teams' work, the road was reopened to traffic in a controlled manner.
An investigation has been launched regarding the accident.
