ZELENSKY'S CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
Zelensky shared on the social media platform X, "Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Chief Prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko just reported the details of the horrific murder that took place in Lviv. Andriy Parubiy has been killed. I extend my condolences to his family and loved ones," he stated.
Zelensky emphasized that security forces are intensively continuing their efforts to find the killer and investigate the incident.
ASSASSIN APPROACHED ON A MOTORCYCLE
While officials stated that the investigation is ongoing and the public will be informed, eyewitnesses reported that the assailant approached Parubiy on a motorcycle and shot him in the head.
HE ESCAPED BY A NARROW MARGIN IN THE PAST
In 2014, Parubiy narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. At that time, it was revealed that an employee of the UDO (State Protection Service) was preparing for an attack planned during the Yanukovych era.
