Minister Bayraktar stated, "Gabar oil is the highest quality oil in Turkey. It is a world-class quality oil. As of today, we have reached a daily production of 71,000 barrels in Gabar. Turkey Petroleum was producing 35-36 thousand barrels of oil in 2016. Today, we have doubled that amount just in Gabar. We are producing 71,000 barrels in 75 wells. Minister Bayraktar continued:

Gabar is a discovery we made in 2021. It is the largest oil discovery in the history of the Republic. Our production this year is the highest in the history of the Republic. As of December 29, our daily domestic production reached 127,000 barrels, including Gabar. Gabar was known for terrorism. It is understood why Turkey was preoccupied with terrorism. Şırnak is the province with the highest economic growth in Turkey in 2024. We have over 3,000 workers in those mountains, most of whom are from that region. Şırnak has become an oil city. In addition to economic oil, there is also a social transformation. We built 540 km of roads to those mountains that were previously inaccessible. As we continue these efforts, production will increase. We believe we will reach 100,000 barrels in the Gabar discovery. New discoveries are needed. Our exploration activities will continue. The operation we are conducting is 4 km underground. Gabar operates a bit differently. Every exploration well becomes a production well. By 2025, the entire potential of the region will be revealed by working in accordance with the industry's standards.

Turkey needs 140 million cubic meters of natural gas every day. It requires over 1 million barrels of oil daily. Our approach goes beyond traditional approaches. We announced our new strategy in 2016-2017. We said we would leave no place unexplored or unsearched. We have increased from 35,000 barrels to 70,000 barrels. It is a twofold growth, but Turkey's needs are greater. Therefore, we will continue to explore in Turkey. As Turkey, we also need to intensify our exploration efforts abroad. 71,000 barrels are worth 2 billion dollars annually. This is its current economic value. Think of it as a factory. We have made our investment here. The scale of the work is very large. This 2 billion dollars stays inside; we do not send it abroad. It provides both economic and social contributions.
