Suspicion of abuse on a 2-year-old baby! Two more individuals, besides the mother, have been arrested.

A 2-year-old baby was rushed to the hospital in Malkara district of Tekirdağ on the night of September 10. It is alleged that the baby, who was said to be ill, was abused. Three people were arrested in connection with the presence of signs of assault on the baby's body. Two of the four suspects who were taken into custody have completed their procedures at the police station. The two suspects under the age of 18, whose procedures at the police station have been completed, were referred to the court.

These suspects, who were interrogated by the public prosecutor, were arrested by the judge they were brought before, while it was reported that the procedures of the other suspects at the police headquarters have not yet been completed.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On September 10, in Malkara district, 2-year-old S.Y. was taken to Malkara State Hospital by his relatives, claiming that he fell ill at night. Signs of assault were found on the child's body after being examined at the hospital. It was alleged that the baby was beaten and then transferred to Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital due to suspicion of brain hemorrhage. After the brain surgery at the city hospital, S.Y. was taken to the intensive care unit. The mother B.Y., who was detained by the police in connection with the incident, was arrested by the judge she was brought before.
