A motorcycle in motion in Beşiktaş crashed in an underpass after the driver lost control of the steering. The motorcycle driver lost his life, while the passenger next to him was seriously injured.
While riding in Beşiktaş, a motorcycle crashed in an underpass after the driver lost control of the steering. The motorcycle driver lost his life in the accident, while the person next to him was seriously injured. The accident occurred around 02:00 at the Barbaros Boulevard Balmumcu Underpass heading towards Levent. According to reports, the motorcycle, which was in motion inside the underpass, crashed after the yet-to-be-identified driver lost control of the steering. After the accident, the driver, whose name has not been disclosed, and his friend were thrown onto the road.
PASSENGER ON THE MOTORCYCLE SERIOUSLY INJURED
Upon the notification of nearby drivers, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined during their examination that the motorcycle driver had died at the scene, while his friend, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after the first intervention. After the accident, forensic teams conducted investigations in the area, while police teams closed one direction of the tunnel to traffic. The body of the deceased driver was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
Police teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
