Burhan Akdağ, former husband of Müge Anlı and a tabloid journalist, was attacked in front of his home in Ataşehir on the day he divorced his wife of eight years, Aysun Çardak. Akdağ, who obtained a medical report and filed a complaint against the attackers, recounted the events in detail and named the assailants. His daughter Aslıhan Akdağ, who was with him during the attack and was also assaulted, claimed, "They were going to kill my father and make it look like an accident."
Burhan Akdağ, a well-known figure in the magazine world and former spouse of Müge Anlı, claimed he was attacked on the day he divorced Aysun Çardak, whom he married 8 years ago. Following the incident, which reportedly occurred in Ataşehir, Istanbul, both Akdağ and his daughter Aslıhan Akdağ made striking statements.
According to the claim, Akdağ was targeted in an attack in front of his residential complex after the divorce proceedings were finalized. His daughter Aslıhan Akdağ, who was with him during the incident, attempted to record the events with her mobile phone camera.
"THEY WERE GOING TO KILL MY FATHER AND STAGE IT AS AN ACCIDENT"
Speaking after the attack, Aslıhan Akdağ claimed the incident was not an ordinary argument and called on authorities. In her statement, Akdağ said, "They were going to kill my father and stage it as an accident."
Describing the terrifying moments she experienced, Akdağ noted that her voice became hoarse from calling for help, stating, "My voice went hoarse from screaming for help."
BURHAN AKDAĞ DESCRIBED THE MOMENT OF THE ATTACK
Burhan Akdağ, in his statement, claimed that the incident following the divorce began in the elevator. Akdağ said, "The scuffle that started in the elevator continued on the second floor. During the scuffle, Hasan Demiröz and Gökçin Küçükgöksu, who was with him, attacked me. My daughter Aslıhan was trying to record the events with her phone. However, the attackers then turned on her."
Claiming that his daughter was attacked, Akdağ said, "I experienced one of the greatest helplessnesses a father can feel. They tried to take her phone by squeezing her throat. They hit her face. Her clothes were torn."
OBTAINED A MEDICAL REPORT AND FILED A COMPLAINT
Akdağ claimed that the attackers retreated when his friend Müzaffer Sütçü arrived at the scene, and later, police and medical teams came to the location.
Akdağ said, "My daughter and I were taken to the hospital and our medical reports were obtained. Then we went to the police station and filed a complaint."
"I BELIEVE THE TRUTH WILL COME TO LIGHT"
Akdağ, who wants all aspects of the events to be investigated, argued that if the HTS records, phone conversations, and other official evidence from the day of the incident are examined, the background of the event will become clearer.
While no statement has yet been made regarding an investigation launched by official authorities into the incident, it was learned that Burhan Akdağ and his family will follow the legal process.
The images captured by Aslıhan Akdağ of the attack moment were released for 10 minutes. In the footage, the attackers were seen assaulting Burhan Akdağ and also hitting his daughter Aslıhan Akdağ for recording.
