In Kastamonu, a citizen proved that a group road, which provides access to approximately 50 villages, passed through his titled land and had the section on his property removed by submitting a petition. Residents in the area expressed their concerns that the narrowing road could lead to accidents and requested a solution.

An interesting event occurred on the road providing group access from the center to the villages in Kastamonu.

"IT'S MY LAND," HE SAID, REQUESTED PAYMENT

A citizen named F.A. stated that a part of the group village road passed through his land and requested payment from the village heads. After the village heads refused this request, F.A. submitted a petition to the Kastamonu Special Administration, asking for payment for the area through which the road passes. The Special Administration rejected the payment request after an examination.

A SECTION OF THE ASPHALT WAS REMOVED

Following this, F.A. applied again for the removal of the road passing through his titled land. After the application, the teams of the Special Administration removed an approximately 140 square meter section of asphalt determined to be within the boundaries of the titled land. After the asphalt was removed, the landowner F.A. drove iron stakes into the area to mark the boundaries of his field.

"DUE TO THE NARROWING OF THE ROAD, ACCIDENTS HAVE BECOME INEVITABLE HERE"

Mehmet Ali Bacıroğlu, who serves as the deputy headman of Akdoğan village in the central district, expressed that they are waiting for a solution from the authorities, stating, "An accident is inevitable here. A vehicle coming from above and a vehicle coming from below may collide because the road has narrowed to a single lane. Especially in winter, if it freezes, they cannot stop. For this reason, this place causes accidents. I cannot understand how the land registry officer wrote this. This road is almost 200 years old. When my friend applied, they came from the Special Administration and cut the asphalt here. They removed the cut asphalt with a construction machine. The road here has narrowed, and when the road narrows, it is impossible for two vehicles to pass through. If two cars come from here, an accident is inevitable. Because there is death here at any moment," he said.

NEITHER COMING NOR GOING

Bacıroğlu, stating that the road has been in this condition for about 20 days, said, "Our road has been narrowed to a single lane for about 20 days. For 20-25 days, there has been neither coming nor going here. The authorities will find a solution; we do not know," he said.
