Masked robbers in Istanbul Kuyumcukent escaped with approximately 24 million lira worth of money using long-barreled weapons. In the investigations related to the incident, 8 suspects were detained.

THEY ROBBED WITH LONG-BARRELED WEAPONS IN THE MORNING HOURS
Yesterday at around 07:20, masked suspects who arrived in a car and a light commercial vehicle stole the money in the bag, estimated to be around 20 million, with long-barreled weapons and fled. Police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Police teams watching the surrounding security cameras initiated efforts to capture the fleeing suspects. Shortly after the incident, 1 suspect was detained. The moment of the robbery was reflected in the security camera.
MONEY IN THE BAGS WAS TO BE TAKEN TO THE GRAND BAZAAR
In the operations carried out, it was determined that while the money in the bags belonging to a business was under the supervision of security personnel to be sent to the Grand Bazaar, two vehicles arrived at the scene, and the suspects inside the vehicle threatened the security personnel with weapons, incapacitating them, and loaded approximately 24 million lira in 6 bags into the vehicles and fled the scene. 8 suspects related to the robbery were detained. The suspects' processing at the police station is ongoing.
