New details have emerged regarding the armed attack on rapper Emirhan Çakal, who performed in the Hayrabolu district of Tekirdağ. Faik Duran, who injured the famous artist with an air rifle, has been arrested and sent to prison for the crime of "intentional injury."
In the 33rd Sunflower Festival held in the Hayrabolu district of Tekirdağ, an important development occurred regarding the investigation into the armed attack on rapper Emirhan Çakal, who performed on stage. The suspect named Faik Duran, who caused Çakal to be injured in the leg by firing with an air rifle, was arrested by the court after his procedures at the police station.
UNDERWENT SURGERY
It was claimed that the attacker was a fan of Çakal and became angry after the artist refused to take a photo with him, leading to the attack. The incident occurred when Çakal was descending from the stage with a crane to go to his dressing room after the concert ended. It was learned that the famous rapper suffered damage to his bone due to the pellets that hit his leg as a result of the gunfire.
Emirhan Çakal, who received his first intervention at Hayrabolu State Hospital, was later transferred to a private hospital in Istanbul for surgery. It was reported that the artist's health condition is good and his treatment is ongoing.
THE WEAPON USED IN THE INCIDENT WAS RECOVERED
In the investigation launched regarding the attack, police teams took action and captured the suspect Faik Duran in an operation. During the searches conducted at Duran's home, the air rifle used in the incident and 67 air rifle pellets were seized. After his procedures at the police station, Duran was sent to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
