The "children's noise" feud that has been ongoing in the Çınarcık district of Yalova ended in bloodshed. Muhammed Baca, who was trying to enter his home with his 14-month-old daughter, was attacked by his neighbor with a stick. In the attack, the unfortunate father's nose was broken, and the baby's skull was fractured. The attacker was arrested and sent to prison. Justice Minister Akın Gürlek made a statement regarding the incident. Gürlek announced that the situation was intervened immediately and that the murderous man was arrested.
Discussions occurred between the Baca family, who moved into a house they purchased a year ago in the Esenköy town of Çınarcık district in Yalova, and another family living in the same building due to children's noise.
Describing the incident, Muhammed Baca said, "Last Friday, I returned home with my daughter. When I encountered them on the street, they said, 'What are you looking at?' I went inside with my fasting mouth, and I called the gendarmerie. When the gendarmerie arrived, I went outside, removed my car camera, and handed it over to the gendarmerie. I said, 'I will break my fast and come back.' My daughter was in my arms. I am not an unconscious father who would go to a fight while holding my daughter.
They did this to me and my daughter in front of the gendarmerie personnel. My nose is still running because it is broken. They were disturbed by the noise and commotion because I have 4 children. This was supposed to be a summer place. Do we not have the right to live here? They are from Van, and they are children of a tribe," he said.
THREATENING NOTES WITH BULLETS
Baca, who stated that this incident occurred despite a restraining order, said, "Right now, my daughter's skull is cracked. My nose is also broken. We are afraid to go home in this condition. They hit us with a piece of wood while entering with my daughter. Half of the wood hit my shoulder, and the other half hit my daughter's head. The person who hit us was arrested, but the person who has been harassing us and my children for 9 months, despite having a restraining and precautionary order, is still walking around freely. Where should I take my 4 children, to whom should we seek refuge, and from whom should we ask for help? We have previously received notes and threats like 'Leave this place' with bullet casings left behind. We are complaining and want action to be taken," he stated.
MINISTER GÜRLEK'S STATEMENT
Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced that a judicial investigation has been initiated regarding the incident in which a father and his 14-month-old daughter were assaulted by their neighbors in Yalova, and that the suspect believed to have injured the father and daughter has been arrested.
In a statement made on his social media account, Justice Minister Gürlek said:
"I extend my wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured father and his 14-month-old child in the incident that occurred in the Esenköy town of our Yalova province, and I wish them urgent healing. A judicial investigation has been promptly initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, and the suspect believed to have injured the father and daughter has been arrested by the Peace Criminal Court."
