Following the embezzlement incidents that emerged in the judicial custody offices of Büyükçekmece and the Islands courthouses, the Ministry of Justice took action. After Minister Yılmaz Tunç issued a directive for "strict supervision" of judicial custody in all 81 provinces, the Inspection Board of the Ministry of Justice assigned 4 chief inspectors.
The Ministry of Justice has issued a strict inspection directive regarding judicial custody offices due to the embezzlement incidents that occurred in the Büyükçekmece and Adalar courthouses.
MINISTER TUNÇ ASSIGNED 4 INSPECTORS
According to the information obtained, as part of the investigations in Büyükçekmece and Adalar, 2 people have been arrested so far, and arrest warrants have been issued for 2 suspects identified as having fled abroad. In line with the approval of Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, 4 chief inspectors have been assigned by the Inspection Board of the Ministry of Justice to investigate the incidents.
The inspection activities carried out periodically by the Ministry of Justice will be conducted more frequently, comprehensively, and intensively upon the instruction of Minister Tunç.
STRICT MONITORING WILL BE CONDUCTED IN 81 PROVINCES
In this context, in addition to Büyükçekmece and Adalar, all judicial custody offices in 81 provinces will be subject to strict monitoring. Judicial and administrative actions will be taken without delay against those found to be at fault, negligent, or responsible in the judicial custody processes.
