STADIUM CAPACITY IS 7,500
A ceremony was held before the match for the opening of the 5 February City Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 7,500, where the installation of the stands, lighting, and scoreboard has been completed.
'I THANK THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED'
In his speech at the ceremony, Governor Cahit Çelik wished the completed stadium to be beneficial for Niğde Belediyespor. Stating that an important sports facility has been provided to the city, Çelik said, "Many politicians, members of parliament, and mayors have contributed from the past to the present. I thank those who contributed. We reached the final stage of the work; I had a contribution in the last period. We have managed to bring the stadium to the team by emphasizing the sports infrastructure of our city."
AK Party Niğde Member of Parliament Cevahir Uzkurt also thanked those who contributed and expressed his hope for Niğde Belediyespor to achieve victory in the new stadium. Mayor Emrah Özdemir thanked the sponsors who supported, stating that the team is in the professional league. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for the home team.
