ASELSAN personnel Süleyman Cemre Kahraman and İsmail Enes Can, who were martyred in a helicopter crash in Qatar, were bid farewell on their final journey with a funeral ceremony held in Ankara. Moments when CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli came together during the ceremony drew attention.
A funeral ceremony was held in Ankara for ASELSAN personnel Süleyman Cemre Kahraman and İsmail Enes Can, who were martyred as a result of the helicopter crash during training activities under the Qatar-Turkish Joint Force Command.
STATE OFFICIALS AT THE MARTYR'S FUNERAL
The funeral ceremony held at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque at noon was attended by the families and relatives of the martyrs, as well as Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, among other politicians and civil and military officials. During the ceremony, the families and relatives of the martyrs could not hold back their tears.
ÖZEL ACCOMPANIED BAHÇELİ TO HIS CAR
After the ceremony, it was noteworthy that Özgür Özel accompanied Devlet Bahçeli to his car. While the two party leaders were walking together, Bahçeli was heard saying, "If you hadn't waited," to which Özel replied, "No, sir, how could that be?"
