President's Chief Advisor Oktay Saral criticized lawyer Cem Duman, who was arrested in an operation against an organized crime syndicate and came into the spotlight due to his luxurious lifestyle and a photo of him posing with President Erdoğan's picture on the wall, without naming him. Saral stated, "We clearly say to those who use our President's name as a cover for their own interests: This case does not fit into your bag, nor into your personal profit calculations!"
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office conducted an operation against a criminal organization allegedly led by Selahattin Yılmaz, targeting 14 suspects, including lawyers Cem Duman and Semra Ilık. In the operation carried out in a total of 5 provinces, including Ankara, Antalya, Muğla, and Samsun, centered in Istanbul, 10 people, including suspects Yılmaz, Duman, and Ilık, were arrested.
