Mehmet Emin F., who set fire to his white Toros in front of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), was found to have attempted to provoke the crowd at a martyr's funeral in Mersin in 2006. Additionally, it was determined that he was part of an organized crime group led by Ahmet Cinali, known as the 'Cinali Group.' The Ministry of Interior stated, "It has been determined that the individual was expecting a tax reduction on special consumption tax (ÖTV) and set the vehicle on fire because the reduction did not occur."

In Ankara, M.E.F., who is reported to have psychological disorders, set his car on fire in front of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). While the car was rendered unusable, M.E.F., who is said to have numerous criminal records, was taken into custody.

The incident occurred around 09:00 in the Çankaya district on İsmet İnönü Boulevard. M.E.F., who came from Mersin, set his "Toros" brand white car on fire in front of the TBMM. Upon notification, fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The car, which was extinguished by the fire brigade, was rendered unusable.

The Ankara Police Department made a statement regarding the incident on its social media account. The statement said, "It has been determined that the vehicle fire that occurred on August 19, 2025, on İnönü Boulevard in our Çankaya district was carried out by a person named M.E.F., who resides in Mersin, has psychological disorders, and has numerous criminal records. The individual has been taken into custody, and an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident."

Meanwhile, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an ex officio investigation regarding the white Toros set on fire in front of the TBMM for the crime of "deliberately endangering public safety."

Upon investigation, it was determined that the individual resides in Mersin, works in scrap dealing, has 12 scrap vehicles registered in his name, and was expecting an SCT discount with the 'Scrap Vehicle Incentive,' and set the vehicle on fire because the discount did not come through.

It has been determined that the individual has a record of 16 different crimes, including "Theft," "Motor Vehicle Theft," "Forgery of Official Documents," "Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing a Crime," "Threat," and "Deliberately Endangering Public Safety."
