MASS RESIGNATION IN İYİ PARTY IN MARDIN
Akar stated in a written statement that they resigned from their party in support of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, along with the provincial administration and the district administrations of Artuklu, Dargeçit, Midyat, Savur, Mazıdağı, Nusaybin, and Yeşilli.
"THE MAJORITY OF MARDIN PEOPLE ARE IN FAVOR OF SOLUTION AND BROTHERHOOD"
Stating that this step they took today is not just a resignation but an invitation and call for social peace and brotherhood, Akar noted: "The İYİ Party's stance and attitude against this process, not contributing and supporting important processes such as the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, has forced us to make this decision in order to fulfill our responsibility to our people. Like the majority of the people in Turkey, the majority of Mardin people are in favor of solution, dialogue, and brotherhood. We have heard this voice. We consider it a historical duty to be the voice of this call with this resignation decision. We express our gratitude to all the people of Mardin who believe in us, support us, and to our organization members and volunteers with whom we walk together."
