31 suspects who were found to have obtained residence permits for foreign nationals using forged documents prepared in Istanbul were detained in operations. Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Border Gates Branch Directorate, coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, launched an investigation into obtaining residence permits with forged documents. During the investigations, it was determined that criminal activity was carried out by tampering with documents submitted during residence permit procedures, preparing forged documents, and drafting false declarations.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS FOLLOWING TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL SURVEILLANCE
Following technical and physical surveillance, simultaneous operations were conducted to apprehend the suspects whose identities and addresses were determined. 31 suspects were detained in the operations, and some documents were seized during searches at their homes. It was learned that the suspects' procedures at the police station are ongoing.
