THE INVESTIGATION IS CONDUCTED BY THE DEMRE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
As part of the investigation initiated under the coordination of the Demre Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding 'Embezzlement', 'Forgery in official documents', and 'Qualified fraud'; it was determined that the suspect M.Ş. unlawfully used 687,031.89 lira from the salaries and additional lesson payments of teachers working at the school without their consent, created a tax assessment in his name amounting to 13,473.20 lira, unlawfully assessed 295,248.83 lira as if retired teachers were working, created a false tax assessment from the education preparation allowance amounting to 1,389.37 lira, and unlawfully used 51,336,618.54 lira in public funds by transferring state support provided under the Master Compensation Program (UTP) aimed at supporting businesses that employ intern students for better education of vocational high school students to his own accounts and the accounts of individuals he collaborated with by creating false student registrations and fake businesses.

It was determined that individuals who were evaluated to have acted in concert with M.Ş. embezzled over 52 million lira in public funds. As part of the investigation, the teams of the Antalya Police Department's Smuggling and Organized Crime Division initiated work to capture 46 suspects, including B.A., a former district chairman of a political party. A simultaneous operation was carried out on April 7 to capture 35 suspects in Antalya, 2 in Istanbul, 2 in Ankara, 1 in Kırıkkale, 1 in Aydın, 1 in Kırşehir, and 1 in Eskişehir, among the suspects, 2 of whom were in prison and 1 was determined to be abroad.
It was learned that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
