Our national tennis player Zeynep Sönmez was defeated by Ekaterina Alexandrova 2-0 in the third round of Wimbledon, marking her exit from the tournament.

National tennis player Zeynep Sönmez was eliminated by Russian athlete Ekaterina Aleksandrova, losing 2-0 at the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament.

ZEYNEP SÖNMEZ SAID GOODBYE IN THE 3RD ROUND

In the season's third Grand Slam tennis tournament held in London, the capital of England, Zeynep, ranked 88th in the world, faced Aleksandrova, who is ranked 18th, in the 3rd round.

In the first set, Zeynep was unable to respond to her opponent's service games, losing the set 6-3 and falling behind 1-0 in the match. In the second set, the national tennis player improved her service quality and made scoring shots, taking a 5-2 lead, but could not maintain her advantage. Zeynep lost the set that went to a "tie-break" 7-6 and the match 2-0, thus bidding farewell to the tournament.
