The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, reacted to the removal of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's photo in the General Directorate of Security's post on August 30. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya by criticizing the removal of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's photo in the General Directorate of Security's post on August 30.
In the post made by the General Directorate of Security on the occasion of August 30 Victory Day, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel responded to the removal of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's photo.
"THOSE WHO REMOVE ATATÜRK'S PHOTO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE HEART OF THE NATION"
In his statement, Özel said, "Those who have been elected by the votes of this nation and have removed Atatürk's photo have been removed from the heart of the nation," while adding, "Those gentlemen who share that photo in such a way are not even aware that if it weren't for that photo, the flag we are raising today would not be waving, and that the uniforms they wear and the ministerial positions they occupy would not exist.
Over 95% of the people in this country have respect, reverence, and deep love for Atatürk. Those who have been elected by the votes of this nation and have removed Atatürk's photo have been removed from the heart of the nation," he stated.
HE ADDRESSED ALİ YERLİKAYA
Addressing Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Özgür Özel said, "This noble nation will return and ask, 'Should Ali Yerlikaya, who carefully removed the photo of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, remain as a minister, or should the party that never forgets Atatürk for a minute be in power?'
