The incident occurred on February 10 in a building located in the 13 Mart neighborhood of the Artuklu district. According to the allegations, four foreign women entered the building and rang the bell of an apartment on the third floor. When no one answered the door, the women tried to open it with an identity card given to foreign citizens. Those moments were captured by the building's security camera. The footage showed that after ringing the bell, the women waited for a while, and when they heard no sound from inside, they forced the door with the identity card.

"THERE HAVE BEEN MANY RECENTLY"

Building attendant Davut Çağan said, "These theft incidents have increased a lot recently. We reported them to the police. Hopefully, they will be caught as soon as possible. They enter the building while going to and from the market. They follow the residents of the building and enter before the door closes. This morning I went to the butcher. By the time I returned, another woman had entered the building. A resident of the building called me. I came immediately. I saw her at the door. I threw her outside. I also took her photo and sent it to the police. There is already security camera footage of yesterday's incident. Hopefully, it won't happen again," he said.

A SUSPECT IS BEING SOUGHT

Teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Public Order Branch, which examined the footage, determined that the suspicious women had also committed thefts in other apartments in the same building. The police captured three suspects, whose identities were identified, in the İslahiye district of Gaziantep. The detained suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before. Efforts to locate the other suspect are ongoing.
