A family in Konya, concerned about the health condition of their 4-year-old daughter, rushed to the hospital. Upon examination, it was determined that the child had been sexually abused. The police, reviewing the neighborhood's camera footage, identified that construction worker Ahmet Ö. had entered the building with the young child and had gone up to the roof. The individual has been taken into custody.
Ahmet Ö. (24), a construction worker who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in Konya, has been taken into custody.
The family, living in the Karatay district and suspecting something was wrong with their 4-year-old daughter's health, took her to the hospital on August 10. During the examination at the hospital, it was determined that the child had been sexually assaulted. Following this, the family went to the police station to file a complaint. The teams from the Karatay District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau initiated an investigation after the complaint.
250 SECURITY CAMERAS EXAMINED
The police reviewed the security camera footage from the neighborhood where the child lives. The teams, who examined approximately 250 security cameras and 500 hours of footage, determined that Ahmet Ö., who has a record of 11 crimes, entered a building with a small child he saw on the street and went up to the roof together.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Ahmet Ö. was taken into custody by police teams at his home last night. His processing is ongoing at the Köprübaşı Şehit Azam Güdendede Police Station.
