Aksaray Deputy Ramazan Kaşlı, who was referred to the disciplinary committee with a request for expulsion upon the instruction of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, has resigned from his party. In a statement he made on his social media account, Kaşlı said, "I am resigning at the request of Semih Yalçın."
The disciplinary process initiated within the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) gained a new dimension with the resignation decision. It was announced that Ramazan Kaşlı, the 27th and 28th Term Aksaray Deputy, who was referred to the disciplinary board with a request for expulsion by the MHP Headquarters, declared that he has resigned from his duties and membership in the party.
"WITH THE REQUEST OF SEMIH YALÇIN..."
In a written statement shared by Aksaray Deputy Ramazan Kaşlı, it was emphasized that the resignation decision was made in line with the request of the party management rather than a personal preference. In his statement, Kaşlı included the following remarks:
"I am resigning from my position in the TBMM MHP Group Management Board and my party membership at the request of our Deputy Chairman Responsible for Organizational Affairs, Mr. E. Semih Yalçın."

Another notable point in the resignation text was Kaşlı's loyalty message towards MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. Stating that he will maintain his political line despite leaving the party, Kaşlı said, "I want everyone who knows me and those who do not to know that I will be at the service and in the footsteps of our Leader until I die."
REASON FOR THE PROCESS: "INCONSISTENCY WITH DISCIPLINE AND PRINCIPLES"
MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın had previously stated that Kaşlı was referred to disciplinary action with a request for expulsion due to his "inconsistent behaviors with party discipline and principles" and upon the instruction of Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
Aksaray Deputy Kaşlı indicated that a more detailed statement regarding the matter would be shared with the public shortly.
With this resignation, the number of MHP's deputies has decreased to 45.
